ABOUT ICFAS

As the world rises from the pandemic over the past years, stakeholders from across various industries are posed with the challenge of how to move forward in this era of the new normal. Although the fisheries sector across the globe was not spared from the economic and societal repercussions of the pandemic, it has emerged as a resilient industry poised to provide increased livelihood for millions and a more secure source of food and nutrition for the world’s growing population. With the theme “Fisheries for the future!” for the 7th iteration of the International Conference for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, this gathering of stakeholders from the academe, industry, and government aims to highlight the important role that fisheries will play in our increasingly interconnected global community of the future. From emerging technologies in aquaculture, post-harvest processing, and the study of marine and aquatic resources to lessons learned from the past in order to guide forward-looking policies and management strategies for sustainable fisheries, ICFAS 2023 will serve as an apt venue for sharing ideas, driving discussions, and discovering solutions for our shared future.
